<p>If you want to add more bone mass, you need to perform exercises that have to do with bearing load. This includes routines on weight lifting, dancing, jogging, and other types of exercises that encourage your body to fight gravity. If you are suffering from arthritis, diabetes, back pain, depression, or obesity, these exercises will surely help you deal better with the symptoms and alleviate instances of pain. About 30 minutes each of aerobics and strength training is recommended, but if you are able to do only less than this, it is still acceptable. </p>
<p>Seniors can head to gyms or other fitness areas so as to carry out their exercise routines. There are fitness locations, such as YMCAs which allow people to participate in a host of activities at affordable cost. Once you have already decided to adopt an exercise routine, make sure that the gym or fitness provides you with the facilities you need. </p>

<p>However, ensuring your own safety is extremely important, before actually going for a regular exercise routine. Once your physician allows you to perform some form of light to moderate exercise, you will definitely be contributing significantly for your own health. Today however, patients of this condition are actually advised to maintain a routine of low-impact workouts. </p>
<p>There are several conditions that contribute to the suffering of peripheral neuropathy. If you have diabetes, arthritis, HIV, or cancer, you are most likely to suffer from nerve pain. Many people also experience this pain due to genetics and even as ill-effects of specific types of medication. This pain can be felt in the extremities such as the hands and feet, which resembles a numb feeling. The pain is often described to be throbbing and burning. What brings about this kind of pain is the damage done to the nerves from the brain to the spinal cord, and eventually affects the entire body. </p>
<p>Since there is much pain involved, patients are worried about performing exercise routines, especially since there is the danger of increasing the degree of pain. In the past, doctors have been wary about recommending any form of exercise, since there has been the risk of worsening the pain felt by patients. However, doctors have just recently come to the conclusion that low impact exercise can in fact offer an excellent form of therapy. People with peripheral neuropathy who do not exercise at all are known to suffer more. It can lead to lower metabolism, muscular atrophy and decreased levels of energy.<br />

The reason why low-impact routines are recommended is that it provides less stress on the joints and the feet. In nerve pain, these regions are the ones which are most likely to get affected. Exercises which are low impact may include walking, performing water aerobics, elliptical training, and even stationary biking. These routines help improve blood circulation, increase heart rate, and bodily movement. With better blood circulation patients can feel less numbness and less soreness in their extremities. </p>

Since people with painful conditions are prone to feelings of depression and anxiety, performing regular exercises can help alleviate depressive tendencies. When working out, the body releases feel-good hormones which are called the endorphins. These are also known to contribute to better quality sleep. </p>
<p>It is essential to note however, that the muscles should not be strained too much. A moderate exercise for about 20 minutes daily is already a good start. One disadvantage of intensive exercise routines is increased nerve pain. For anyone who already suffers from peripheral neuropathy, this is definitely something to be avoided. If you feel any kind of aching in your muscles after performing exercises, this is already an indication that you have overburdened your muscles during the routines. </p>
<p>Once you have decided to finally adopt a low-impact exercise even with your nerve condition, consulting with your doctor first is a must. Having peripheral neuropathy can be effectively managed not merely by the right medications and healthy eating habits, but through low-impact exercise routines as well. </p>

<p>Of course, it can be assumed that perhaps the high grades are only due to the discipline adopted by athletes so as to maintain the scholarship. However, this account is more than what it seems. Due largely to the fact that athletic students have better physical health; these individuals are also able to perform better academically. </p>
<p>When you exercise regularly, you are essentially keeping your heart and your mind healthier. Physical effort prompts your heart to deliver more oxygen into your brain. This is why your brain becomes more attentive. In effect, your brain allows you to think more clearly and be more alert. </p>
<p>Since there are higher levels of oxygen in your brain, neuron connections are also much improved. This makes you retain more information in a highly effective manner, so that being an achiever in school is not too far a goal, if you are a student. </p>
<p>The concept and belief that exercise contributes to better intellect is still the subject of heated debate until the present day. The athletes in ancient Greece nonetheless, were also recognized for their brilliant minds and in-depth philosophies.<br />

In a report by Newsweek however, cardiovascular health is not the only health benefit of exercise. It also aids in the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. </p>
<p>A connection between physical health and mental alertness has been established through a study conducted by one professor of Neuroscience and Kinesiology at the University of Illinois. The tests included elementary students who were asked to perform typical routines in PE classes. The scores achieved by such students were compared alongside other test takers all over the state. </p>
<p>The studies results were such that those students who were more physically fit were able to obtain among the highest of scores. These results have prompted other studies to be conducted so as to establish these findings better.</p>
<p>One such study involved using an aerobic routine for three months so as to grow healthy nerve cells in the body. Some studies have indicated that through intensive exercise, old nerve cells are able to form webs, making the brain more alert and attentive.</p>
<p>Even in rats, physical activity can lead some rodents to be smarter than others. The latest study has indicated that rats which were given an exercise regimen performed faster in going through mazes than those who just stayed inactive.  </p>
<p>The physical advantages to be obtained from exercising are wide-ranging, and experts are still on the process of establishing newer findings on the benefits of regular exercise. However, it is important to note that one you have a healthy physique, a healthy mind is sure to be one consequence. </p>
